This immediate full-time opening is the perfect opportunity for an individual who has a desire to grow in rights or international sales, has impeccable attention to detail, and wants to make a big impact on our ability to put books in the hands of readers around the globe!Requirements
What you’ll be doing:
- Coordinating rights sales for select domestic and international territories including book clubs and large print.
- Maintaining relationships with international sub-agents and domestic licensee
- Gathering submission materials, submitting and pitching titles to international publishers and domestic licensees, as well as negotiating and closing deals.
- Assisting in the contracts process for domestic and international licenses
- Fulfilling sample requests for subagents, domestic licensees, and scouts.
- Verifying compliance with contracts and advance/royalty payments as needed.
- Compiling rights grids after seasonal launches
- Assisting in logistics and execution of orders for international sales
- Must be comfortable travelling up to 25% of the time
- Other duties as assigned
You’ll be a great fit if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1-2 years of experience in Subsidiary Rights, preferably in book publishing.
- Superior attention to detail, problem-solving skills and negotiation skills.
- A self-starter who can take initiative and change focus when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills; written, verbal, and presentation
- Experience with SAP would be a plus
